Starlite Ferries, Inc. (Starlite), incorporated on 9 January 1995, is one of the dominant shipping companies in the Batangas to Caticlan trade lanes. The Company has established itself as the main choice of passengers due to its customer-focused thrust and its provision of safe, comfortable, and environment-friendly marine transport service in the region. Starlite takes pride in consistently securing a certification for compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code from the International Maritime Organization since 2001.
At present, Starlite vessels are domestically classified by the Philippine Register of Shipping, Inc. and by Orient Register of Shipping, Inc. Starlite’s newly-built vessels, on the other hand, are classified by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, an international organization that provides certification and classification services to 20% of the world’s fleet.

Starlite Ferries, Inc. was acquired by Chelsea Logistics in November 2017. This strategic move puts the Chelsea Group on track to becoming the leading provider of marine transport for vital goods, cargo, and passengers in the Philippines.
As of December 2025, Starlite Ferries has a 16-vessel fleet, including 13 brand-new vessels acquired since 2015.
From this humble beginning, and despite availability of other marine transportation in the area, today Starlite is the main choice of the customers because of its customer-focused, safe and comfortable, and environmentally-responsible marine transport service.
Starlite currently services the ports of Batangas, Calapan, Caticlan, Capiz, Sibuyan, and Romblon. With its strategic integration into Chelsea Logistics, Starlite plans to leverage this partnership to deliver continuous enhancements in its operating systems, fleet size, and route network, all in pursuit of satisfying the evolving marine transportation needs of the Filipino people.
At present, Starlite services the ports of Batangas, Calapan, Caticlan, Capiz, Sibuyan, and Romblon. Now that Starlite is already part of CLC, we can only expect Starlite to have more improvements in its system, more vessels, and additional routes, all for the satisfaction of marine transportation needs of the Filipino people.
