HOW TO KNOW IF IT IS LOWER BED / UPPER BED?
Lower bed banks refer to beds with Even numbers. While upper bed bunks are Odd numbered bed bunk.

 

HOW CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE ROOM VIA CHELSEA TRAVEL?
Booking a private room is currently not available through the Chelsea Travel online booking platform. However, you can secure a private room at Trans-Asia’s Cebu and Provincial Main Offices. Alternatively, you may book through ourAuthorized Ticketing Outlets, though please note that they will need to contact the Trans-Asia Main Office to complete the booking for a private room.

HOW CAN I REBOOK/RESCHEDULE/REFUND?

Rebook (Reschedule)

1. For tickets purchased from Trans-Asia Main and / or Provincial Offices, tickets may be rebooked or rescheduled at any Trans-Asia main offices provided said tickets have not yet expired or lapsed 60 days from departure date.

2.Tickets purchased from ticketing outlets may be rebooked or rescheduled at the same outlet where they were originally bought or at any Main offices.

3. Passenger must present his/her complete sets of unused tickets and valid ID.

4. Ticket rebooking or reschedule can only be done once and subject to prevailing fare rates at the time of rebooking.

5. Ticket rebooking or reschedule is subject to applicable surcharge.

Refund

1. For tickets purchased from a ticketing outlet or at Trans-Asia main offices, tickets may be refunded at the issuing ticketing outlet or at any Trans-Asia main offices provided said tickets have not yet expired or lapsed 60 days from departure date.

2. For ticket purchased online via Chelsea Travel by accessing the ‘Manage Booking’ option.

3. Ticket refund is subject to applicable surcharge.

4. Passenger must present his/her complete sets of unused ticket and valid ID.

REBOOK/RESCHEDULE/REFUND (CHELSEA TRAVEL)

  1. Go to the Chelsea app or Trans-Asia Shipping Lines website.
  2. Click on Manage Booking.
  3. Input your booking reference number

      (e.g., TASLI- 12345ABCDEFG).

  1. Choose to use either your registered email address or phone number.
  2. Select one of the following options:

       – Reprint Ticket to view your e-ticket.

      – Refund to request a refund for your e-ticket

      – Rebook to reschedule your trip

  1. Follow the steps to complete your request.

If you forgot your booking reference number:

  1. Click “Can’t find my reference number”.
  2. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and departure date.
  3. Your reference number will be sent to your registered email.

Please note that web fees for online ticket purchases are non-refundable.

CAN A PREGNANT PASSENGER BE ACCEPTED FOR TRAVEL?

a) Must present a medical certificate attesting to the passenger’s fitness for sea travel and must sign a waiver upon check-in.

   – Below 28 weeks : Medical Certificate should be issued at least one day prior the departure date and must clearly state the departure date.

   – 29 weeks and beyond : shall not be accepted to travel.

b) The passenger confirms the authenticity of the medical certificate and the accuracy of its contents. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to deny check-in and shall not be held liable for any issues arising from misrepresentation in the submission and/or contents of the medical certificate.

CAN A MINOR TRAVEL ALONE?

12 YEARS OLD BELOW

1. Children who are 12 years old and below are not allowed to travel alone. Here are the documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:

a. Valid Ticket.

b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.

 

12 and 13 YEARS OLD

1. Children who are 12 and 13 years old may travel alone subject to compliance of the following documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:

a. Valid Ticket.

b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.

c. Duly accomplished Parent/Guardian Consent Form for Unaccompanied Minor.

d. Copy of valid ID with signature of the minor’s parent and/or authorized guardian

14 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE

1. Children who are 14 years old and above are allowed to travel alone. Here are the documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:

a. Valid Ticket.

b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNT?

We honor government-mandated discounts for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Additionally, we offer discounts to Pag-IBIG and GSIS members. Please note that you must present the corresponding IDs when availing of the discount and bring the ID during check-in for validation. Failure to present the required ID will result in having to pay the deducted discount amount.

IS AN INFANT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL?

Yes, an infant (0-2 years old) is allowed to travel. Just make sure to secure your infant’s birth certificate.

IS AN INFANT FREE OF CHARGE?

An infant travels free of charge on the routes from Cebu to Cagayan, Ozamiz, Iligan, and Masbate, and vice versa. However, there is a corresponding fee for infants on the routes from Cagayan to Tagbilaran and vice versa, as well as Cebu to Tagbilaran and vice versa.

HOW TO CHANGE NAME ON THE TICKET?

You cannot change the name on the ticket, but you can request a refund and book a new ticket under a different name.

Please note that refunds are subject to an applicable surcharge.

HOW TO CHANGE ROUTE?

You cannot change the route on your ticket, but you can request a refund and book a new ticket for a different route.

HOW TO CORRECT MINOR ISSUES ON MY TICKET?

We can correct minor errors on your ticket. Here are the issues we can address:

  1. Missing or incorrect 1-2 letters in the passenger’s name, excluding suffix.
  2. Incorrect age.
  3. Incorrect birthday.
  4. Wrong gender.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I LOST MY TICKET?

If you lose your official passage ticket/invoice, you must buy a new ticket to proceed with your voyage. However, if you found your lost ticket after your trip, you may be eligible for a refund, as long as the ticket hasn’t expired. Please be aware that the expiration date is indicated on the ticket.

If you lose your PDF ticket, you can request a replacement by emailing starsy@transasiashipping.ph or contacting us via our official Facebook Messenger. Please be aware that you can only request a copy one time.

CAN I BRING A PET?

Yes, you can travel with your fur babies!

With Accompanying Passenger

1. Fixed fee will range from Php 300 to Php 500 per pet.

2. The pet dog/cat must be placed in a hard cage.

3. Pets will be endorsed to the Hotel Officer and will be placed in a safe and secure area.

4. Pets are not allowed to be in enclosed air-conditioned rooms.

Without Accompanying Passenger

1. Fee ranges from Php 960 to Php 1,550 depending on the port link.

2. A waybill can be secured at any Trans-Asia main office.

3. The pet will be endorsed as a cargo.

A permit to transport is required and this can be secured at your local Bureau of Animal Industry.

CAN I BRING MY PET WITH ME INTO THE ACCOMMODATION?

No, pets are not allowed inside any accommodation in compliance with the Marina Memorandum Circular, which states that animals must be separated from passengers and crew. Additionally, domesticated animals must be placed in cages to ensure the safety of passengers and crew from potential bites and scratches. However, there is a designated safe space for your pets on the vessel, where you can visit them from time to time.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC MONTH/AGE OF THE PET TO BE TRANSPORTED?

There isn’t a specific age requirement for pets.

ASIDE FROM THE PERMIT FROM THE BUREAU OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY, ARE THERE ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED?

Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. now offers Trans Padala for your pouch and small to extra large sized box. You can drop off the pouch or box at our delivery hub and your consignee can withdraw this at the receiving hub. Participating areas are Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, General Santos,Iligan, Iloilo, Manila, Masbate, Ozamiz,Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga. Our schedule is fixed so your pouch or box will be received within 24 hours upon scheduled departure.

Basta kargamento, i-Trans mo! Trans Padala, a unique way of sending and receiving your pouch or box from one island to another quickly.

We also accept volume cargo shipments through our commercial bookings at our Trans-Asia offices.

1. How to I book Trans-Padala?

  • Drop – Visit any Trans-Asia Main Offices or our Drop-off points*
  • Pay – Book and Pay your items. Do not seal the item/s for inspection. We will provide tapes to seal your ‘padala’.
  • Claim – Claim your ‘padala’ at our Pick-up points*

 

2. What are the types of cargoes allowed in Trans-Padala?

Pouch, Small box, Large box, and Extra large box

3. Can I book multiple cargoes in 1 consignee?

maximum only 1 box per consignee is allowed, otherwise will be referred as regular cargo for the cargo hold.

4. Can we pay at the port of destination?

Mode of payment should always be prepaid. Freight charges should be paid upon booking.[br_tc]

5. Do you have pick-up or delivery for Trans-Padala items?

We can do add-on services such as pick up and delivery through a 3rd party service provider such as Grab, Maxim and Lalamove.

6. What are the types of cargoes do you accept?

TransPouch – Unlimeted (Long white envelope to expandable envelope)

TransBox (Small) – Max 4 kilos (0.04 cbm)

TransBox (Large) – Max 5 kilos (0.05 cbm)

TransBox (Extra Large) – Max 10 kilos (0.08 cbm)

7. I have styro chorizo and I want it to be picked-up at your office, can it be shipped as Trans-Padala?

Yes, it can be shipped as Trans-Padala but up to 1 styrobox only, and should not exceed the maximum measurement of large box. Permit should also be presented upon booking. Aside from chorizo, we also accept the following:

Foods – Dimensions should not exceed large box dimension

Cookies
Chocolates
Bread
Chorizo – max of 1 styro only (okay for Trans-Padala routes except Cagayan, Tagbilaran, Ozamiz, and Incoming Cebu)
Sausage – max 1 styro only (okay for Trans-Padala routes except Cagayan, tagbilaran, Ozamiz, and Incoming Cebu)
Grocery – in small/large box

8. Do you accept live pets in Trans-Padala?

We accept these following live pets only:

Spider in a Small Box
Beetle in a Small Box
Miniature Plants in a Box
Worm for Birds in a Box
Fish for Aquarium – must be put in styro

Note: Measurement for box should not exceed large box dimension at 0.05 cbm.

9. I want to send my jewelry worth Php 50,000, how to do it?

Jewelry is not accepted in Trans-Padala. Aside from jewelry, we also do not accept the following items:

10. Can we send painting as Trans-Padala

Painting is recommended as commercial cargo. A Bill of Lading (B/L) is required already.

11. Can I send check through Trans-Padala?

Yes, checks are accepted but cash and ready to use GC’s are not acceptable.

12. How much is the maximum declared value per cargo type?

a. TransPouch (Documents) – Php 1,000

b. TransBox (Small Box) – Php 2,500

c. TransBox (Large Box) – Php 5,000

d. TransBox (Extra Large Box) – Php 10,000

If clients want us to follow their declared value, they must pay the insurance premium based on our standard. maximum insurance allowed is up to Php 20,000 per box.

Computation: Declared value x 0.05% = Insurance premium

13. How much is the maximum weight for cargo boxes to be accepted?

a. Small Box – 3 kilos (beyond 3 kilos will be charged with large box rate)

b. Large box – 5 kilos (beyond 5 kiloswill be considered as XL box)

c. XL Box – 10 kilos ( beyond 10 kilos will be advised to book as regular commercial cargo and must be delivered at pier)

14. What is the cut-off time to book Trans-Padala?

Cut off time for booking acceptance is 3:00 pm. Items arriving beyond cut off time can still be accepted but will be scheduled on the next available trip.

15. Can we mix documents together with our personal items?

Yes, but this will be considered as a commercial cargo already. Therefore, BL is required.

16. How to claim our Trans-Padala items? What should we bring?

Upon withdrawal, consignee will go to any Trans-Asia office and must present his ID. If the person withdrawing is not the consignee, he must present an authorization letter and ID of the consignee and his ID.

17. To whom do we approach in claiming our items?

Consignee will go to Trans-Asia office and look for the Incoming teller or Parcel in-charge.

18. How will we know that the Trans-Padala items sent already arrived at the port of destination?

Upon arrival in destination, Incoming teller will contact the consignee and inform on his/her arrival.

19. How many days allowed to withdraw the Trans-Padala items?

Consignee is given a maximum of 10 days to withdraw his items. Failure to withdraw within the given period, courier has the right to dispose the item

20. Are our Trans-Padala items safe in your vessel? Do you have special area to put our items?

Yes, items are safe since a certain safe and clean area in the vessel is allocated for Trans-Padala items.

21. Where to deliver our items?

Trans-Padala items will be delivered at any Trans-Asia Main office.

22. Do you have online booking for Trans-Padala?

We don’t have online booking for Trans-Padala, shipper will directly book at any Trans-Asia Main office.

23. Who will wrap or pack our items?

Upon booking, Parcel in-charge will check first the item booked. After checking, shipper will pack the item and seal the box. For documents in a pouch, shipper can seal the pouch prior booking.

1. How can I book my Rolling Cargo?

To book your car, you just have to bring a photocopy of your OR and CR. If it’s brand new, a photocopy o sales invoice will do.

You can also book online through our website www.transasiashipping.com or through our partner online portal online.transasiashipping.com/search (Barkota site) for your inbound and outbound Cebu rolling cargo to and from VISMIN destinations with or without an accompanying driver.

5. Is the schedule fixed?

Schedule may be changed without prior notice hence do check our website and FB page from time to time.

6. What if the schedule is delayed?

We will come out with a text advisory if the schedule is delayed beyond reasonable time. It is important you provide us with a correct mobile number.

7. What if the schedule is cancelled?

8. Do you cater to transhipment /multiple port cargoes?

Yes, we cater to transhipment / multiple ports for cargoes and arrangements can be made for hassle free convenience on shipper’s part as we will take care of inter port transfer and charges.

Service

1. What services do you offer?

We offer a variety of services to suit different types of cargo needs and requirements. We accept breakbulk, palletized cargoes, rolling cargoes, 10′, 20′, 40′, LCL, refrigerated vans, OOG cargoes and services ranging from Pier to Pier, Pier to Door, Door to Pier and Door to Door.

2. What is the difference between loose cargo and less container load?

Loose cargoes are items delivered to the pier and for direct loading to the vessel while less container load are cargoes delivered to the container yard for consolidation in a container van.

3. What is meant by full container load (FCL)?

Full container load is when one (1) client will fill up a container van with cargoes.

4. What is meant by less container load (LCL)?

Less container load is when different clients will fill up a container van with cargoes.

5. What is meant by break bulk cargo / loose cargo?

Breakbulk cargo / loose cargo are items accepted with our Roro Passenger (ROPAX) vessels and / or general cargo vessels. These are cargoes which may be filed on pallet boards.

6. Do you accept rolling cargoes?

Yes, we accept all types of rolling cargoes ranging from a motorcycle to sedan to SUV to heavy equipment cargo type.[br_tc][br_tc]Loading method is roll on / roll off for ROPAX and general cargo vessels. For freighter vessels, we utilize 20′ container vans for loading units from sedans to light vans and as breakbulk for trucks and heavy equipment units.

7. Can I take the trip together with my car?

Yes, you can take the trip together with your vehicle if the vessel is a ROPAX vessel.

8. Is your boat roro type?

Yes, most of our ROPAX and general cargo vessels are roro types.

9. What is meant by RRTS?

RRTS means Road RORO (Roll on, Roll Off) Transport System.

10. What is meant by Pier to Pier?

Pier to Pier is the most basic of our cargo service. Shipper will deliver the item to the Pier of origin and Consignee will withdraw the item at the Pier of destination.

11. Do you offer trucking / door to door service?

Yes, we offer Door to Door and this is usually available for full container load (FCL) cargoes.

12. Do you do multiple drop off for delivery?

Yes, we can do multiple drop off delivery, depending on the item, location and with conformity of our delivery provider.

13. Do you offer forwarding services?

We can refer you to our affiliate who does forwarding service of LCL and / or breakbulk cargoes.

14. Can you pick up / deliver my cargoes?

Yes, we can pick up and deliver cargo. This is known as Door-to-Door cargo service. This is usually available for full container load (FCL) cargoes.

1. What are your business hours?

Our offices are open from 8 AM to 12 noon and 1 PM to 5:30 PM. Some branches’ tellers do lunch breaks in between so it is best to transact before and or after lunch breaks.

3. When should I make a booking?

Cargo bookings are best made at least one (1) day before scheduled departure for ROPAX and general vessels and prior Loading Cut Off Time (LCT) for freighter vessels.

4. Should I book in advance or can it be on the day of the departure?

It is suggested that you make a booking in advance as some trips may be fully booked at times.

5. How do I make a booking?

Simply proceed to the origin port Trans-Asia office and provide the freight teller with the booking details requirements.

6.What details are needed to make a booking?

7. Can I book online?

We accept online booking for outbound / inbound Cebu rolling cargoes to and from Vismin destinations with or without accompanying driver.

8. Should I make a reservation for cargo booking?

It is best to book and secure your waybill when you come to our office as we do not accept reservations except for corporate transactions.

9. Can I ask a representative to make the booking?

Yes, you can ask anyone to make the booking for you as long as details are complete to proceed with the issuance of a waybill.

10. Should I bring the item when making the booking?

You do not need to bring the item for shipment when you make the booking as long as you have taken the complete dimensions. We can also take the dimensions for you if an item is brought to the office.

11. What documents will be issued to me and in how many copies?

Our freight teller will issue you a waybill (bill of lading) and this comes in 6 copies, including the Shipper’s copy. CPA / PPA will usually get 2 copies upon settlement of charges and entry to port.

12. Will I be issued an official receipt?

If the freight is paid in cash, an official receipt will be issued to you.

13. Will the bill of lading expire?

The bill of lading (BL) is good for 30 days upon its issuance. After 30 days, the BL is deemed expired and cannot be used nor refunded anymore.

14. Can I book cargoes through a ticketing office?

In general, you cannot book for cargoes through a ticketing office. Only passenger tickets are carried by our ticketing office. There are few ticketing outlets here in Cebu at Pier 1 though who can assist or process the rolling cargo bill of lading on your behalf for a fee.

15. Will I get a free ticket if I take the trip with my car?

A paid shipment of a rolling cargo starting the size of an SUV gets a free 2nd class non-aircon accommodation for the accompanying driver.

For units smaller than an SUV, the convoy will get a 20% discount for their passenger ticket. You can also refer to the Cargo rate sheet on our website for rolling cargo units qualifying for a complimentary convoy.

16. How many free tickets can I get with a car booking?

Only one (1) free 2nd class non aircon accommodation ticket will be given to the accompanying driver. A maximum of two (2) free 2nd class non aircon accommodation tickets will be given to the accompanying driver / convoy of a 10 wheeler truck.

17. Can I ask for a reprint receipt if I lose my BL copy?

Yes, a certified copy / reprint can be issued upon request. A surcharge of Php 50 will be collected though for a reprint request.

18. CPA requires a security pass, how do I secure one?

In Cebu City, the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) requires all vehicles entering pier premises to have a CPA sticker. For vehicles without CPA stickers, a security pass must be secured from their Pier 1 office.

Driver should present a valid ID or driver’s license as well as the OR / CR of the vehicle. CPA also requires the driver and helper to wear closed shoes and pants before they are allowed to enter the port premises.

19. Can I alter my waybill by writing on it?

Do not alter the issued BL. If you notice something wrong and intend to do minor corrections that will not affect the quantity, kind, type and computation of the cargo, you can go back to the office where BL was issued to have it amended.

Amendments might bring along freight adjustment if it involves changing the quantity and / or the actual item to be shipped.

Any unofficial amendments mat render the bill of lading null and void.

20. Can I reschedule my booking?

Yes, bookings can be rescheduled. You need to go back to the office where BL was issued and have the shipment rescheduled.

Rebill / rescheduled can only be done once so please ensure your shipment dates are final.

21. Can I cancel my shipment if I change my mind?

Yes, you can cancel the shipment if you change your mind but there will be a bigger surcharge if cancellation takes place after the intended schedule. A minimal surcharge will be deducted for BL cancellation prior departure.

Other Charges (Not applicable for LCL and FCL cargoes)

1. What other charges do I need to pay with my shipment?

You will need to settle port charges (arrastre and wharfage) for breakbulk, palletized and rolling cargoes at both ports of origin and destination. These charges may be inclusive for containerized cargoes.

For RRTS cargoes with accompanying driver, you will only need to settle the CPA / PPA terminal fee at the origin port.

2. What is meant by arrastre or handling charges?

Arrastre of handling charge refers to the port services accredited cargo handlers will from the time cargoes are received from the client such as checking that cargoes delivered are as what’s described on the bill of lading. Arrastre will also be the one to load the cargo from the pier to the vessel.

3. Why is meant by wharfage or PPA charges

Wharfage dies are charges for port usage as collected by CPA / PPA.

4. What is the difference between wharfage and terminal fee?

Terminal fee is charged for RRTS mode of units while wharfage fee is charged for all other cargoes.

5. What else will I be paying when I arrive at the port of destination?

You will need to pay port charges, i.e., arrastre and wharfage charges, at the port of destination.

For RRTS cargoes, you simply need to present the Terminal fee receipt from the port of origin to exit the PPA gate.

6. Where do I pay these port fees?

In Cebu, arrastre charges can be settled inside the Trans-Asia Main office. Cebu Port Authority (CPA) office is located at Gate 4 Street Port Area Carreta, Cebu City.

In other ports, arrastre offices can be found right outside the pier right beside the PPA office.

7. Can I charge collect the port fees?

Port fees should be settled by the client prior delivery of cargoes to the pier.

8. Can I pay for the destination port fees at the origin port?

Port fees at destination should be settled by the consignee prior to withdrawal of cargoes.

9. Will it be cheaper if I drive my car inside going inside and outside the vessel?

Driving your car going in and out the RORO vessel will save you arrastre and wharfage charges at ports of origin and destination. You will only need to pay for the Terminal fee at the origin port.

10. What happens if I lose my Terminal fee receipt?

Failure to present a valid terminal fee receipt may result in paying for another terminal fee receipt at the destination port.

Allowed Cargoes

1. What cargoes are not allowed to be loaded in the vessel? How about dangerous cargoes?

Some “Dangerous Cargoes” (DG) are allowed for loading in ROPAX and general cargo vessels while others are only allowed in freighter vessels.

Please refer here for the list of acceptable DG cargoes.

4. How will my rolling cargoes be loaded?

In our ROPAX and general cargo vessels, all rolling cargoes are loaded in a roll on roll off manner.

For freighter vessels, rolling cargoes whose dimensions will fit a 20’ container van are placed inside the container van while trucks are loaded by way of ship’s crane or quay crane.

5. Do you accept trucks? What if the truck is laden with goods?

Yes, we accept trucks, be it laden or empty.

For freighter vessels, we do not accept laden trucks.

6. What is the maximum weight allowed for a truck?

PPA has established allowable maximum gross weight for RO-RO vehicles under PPA administrative order No. 05-2020.

7. What is the maximum weight allowed for a container van?

For a 10-Foot Container Van the maximum weight allowed is 10 Tons. For a 20-Foot Container Van the maximum weight allowed is 20 Tons.

8. Do you accept heavy equipment units?

Yes, we accept heavy equipment units as long as the length, width, height and weight are within our vessels’ dimensions.

9. Can I be the one to drive in and out of the vessel?

Yes, you can drive the unit inside and outside the vessel for ROPAX and general cargo vessels.

10. Do you accept a small carton for shipment?

We accept all types of cargo including small cartons. We also have a Trans-Padala pier to pier cargo service more suitable for parcels and small boxes.

You can drop off the pouch or small to medium sized box at our receiving / drop off center and your recipient can withdraw this at the pick-up / receiving center.

Trans-Padala for a pouch is as low as Php 120 while Trans-Padala for a box ranges from Php 350 to Php 700 per box.

Participating areas are Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Iloilo, Manila, Masbate, Ozamiz, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga.

Our schedule is fixed so your pouch or box will be received within 24 hours upon scheduled departure.

Trans-Padala is a unique way of sending and receiving your pouch or box from one island to another quickly. Simply visit our participating drop off point and we will do the rest!

For bigger boxes and other cargo types, these are accepted though our regular cargo booking channel.

Delivery

1. Should I crate my items?

Yes, you should crate / pack your items properly as we will not be responsible for damages brought about by poor packaging.

2. Do you do crating?

We do not provide crating service.

3. Where should I bring my items?

LCL / FCL cargoes should be delivered to the container yard while all other cargoes should be delivered to the Pier.

4. When should I deliver my items to the pier?

You should deliver cargoes to the pier at least 6 hours on the day of scheduled departure. Carrier shall not be liable for offloaded or shut out cargoes due to delayed delivery.

5. Do I deliver to the Container yard or to the Pier?

LCL / FCL cargoes should be delivered to the container yard while all other cargoes should be delivered to the Pier.

Cebu CY is at North Reclamation Area, Arellano Blvd. Pier 5, Cebu City / Cagayan CY is at Julio Pacana St., Macabalan Cagayan de Oro City / Davao CY is at Km12, Panabo Road, Sasa Davao City / Manila CY C3 Lot 15, Phase 2 Area 5 A/B Industrial State, Dagat dagatan Avenue, Navotas City.

7. What do I bring when I deliver the cargo?

You should bring the complete set of the bill of lading together with the freight official receipt as well as arrastre and wharfage / terminal fee receipts for the receiving checker to check prior they accept the cargo.

8. Is there a cut off time in accepting cargoes?

Cut off time in accepting cargoes for ROPAX and general cargo vessels are usually within two (2) hours before departure but it will be better if cargoes are delivered earlier to avoid offloading / shut out.

For freighter vessel cargoes, cargoes should be delivered prior Loading Cut Off Time (LCT).

9. What are your operating hours in the pier? In the CY?

There are different operating hours per port and container yard and it is best you check with the origin TASLI office the cut off time in receiving cargoes. Usually, they follow the 8 to 5 operating hours.

Payment

1. What payment choices do I have?

Payment options are prepaid or collect; depending on cargo type.

Freight for perishable cargoes should be settled at the port of origin.

2. Can I use my credit card to pay?

We do not accept credit cards for settlement of freight charges.

3. Can my recipient pay for the freight and port charges?

Yes, your consignee or recipient can settle for the freight charges as long as cargoes warrant to be charged as freight collect.

Port charges at the destination should be settled by your consignee.

4. Can I use GCash, ewallet to pay?

Yes, we accept GCash, Maya or ewallet payment mode.

5. Do you accept cheque payment?

Only institutional accounts with prior registration are allowed to pay using cheques.

6. Can I pay online?

Yes, you can pay online before coming to the office and give us the proof of payment for validation prior booking.

7. Will there be surcharge if I postpone / cancel my shipment

Yes, there will be a corresponding surcharge for rebilling and cancellation. [nbsp_tc]Surcharge fee is a minimal percentage of the transaction.

Loading

1. What to do if my cargo gets left behind?

We will reschedule the shipment for the next available trip. 

If you have delivered the cargo and this was accepted, we will take care of the rescheduling and the documentation.

If you failed to deliver the cargo on scheduled departure, you will have to go back to the office where BL was issued for re-bill.

2. What if I was not able to deliver the cargo?

If you failed to deliver the cargo on scheduled departure, you will have to go back to the office where BL was issued for re-bill on your preferred new schedule.

Rebill can only be done once so the Shipper must be careful to decide on the date and actual delivery.

After the rebill and if the Shipper still was not able to deliver the cargo, he can opt to cancel the bill of lading with a minimal surcharge fee.

Tracking

1. How do I know my cargo got loaded?

For freighters, you will receive loading confirmation.

For general cargoes, we will only notify you if cargo was not loaded as scheduled.

2. When will my cargo arrive at the destination?

Cargoes will arrive to their destination as scheduled. Our freight teller can provide you with an estimated time of arrival.

3. How will I know my cargo has arrived?

You can check with the office of destination for information on your arriving cargo.

4. Will someone inform me if my cargo arrives?

Our teller will try to call as many clients as they can to advise of incoming cargoes.

For freighter vessels, arrival notice is emailed to concerned clients.

Withdrawal

1. What document do I need to present to claim my cargo?

You will need to present a copy of the bill of lading and an identification card to the incoming teller and release document shall be given to you.

The release document can be presented to the Pier checker or the Container Yard staff so item can be duly withdrawn. [nbsp_tc]

2. Can I ask a representative to claim my releasing document / cargo?

Yes, a representative can claim the cargo as long as authorized documents with both owner’s ID and representative ID are presented to our teller / checker.

3. Where do I go to claim my arriving cargoes?

For freighters, cargoes are claimed at the container yard unless cargo is a heavy lift item.

For cargoes loaded at ROPAX and general cargo vessels, cargoes can be claimed at the pier.

5. Is there customs clearance for my cargoes?

Some ports such as Manila and Zamboanga have customs checking cargoes. Consignees will need to present requested documentations should there be a request for inspection and checking by the Bureau of Customs.

Storage

1. What if I cannot claim cargo right away?

Our pier / container yard personnel will safekeep the cargoes should these not be immediately withdrawn.

2. Is my cargo safe at the pier / CY?

Yes, cargoes are safe at the pier / CY but due to possible congested space at both areas, cargoes might incur damage/s due to constant handling should these be unclaimed beyond the allowed free days.

It is best then to withdraw cargoes immediately within the given free days.

3. Are there charges to be paid for storage?

Storage charges shall be collected by CPA / PPA for cargoes left at the Pier beyond 2 days after the day of arrival.

Demurrage charges shall be collected by shipping lines if container vans are not immediately withdrawn from the Container yard after 7 days.

4. How many days do I get for free storage?

CPA / PPA grants 2 days after the date of arrival. 

5. How much storage charges for a container van?

CPA / PPA collects approximately Php 205 per day per TEU for storage charges beyond the given free days.

6. How much is the demurrage for a container van?

We collect Php 500 per day per TEU for demurrage charges beyond the given free days.

7. How much is the detention for a container van?

We collect Php 500 per day per TEU for detention charges beyond the given free days.

Claim

1. How to file a claim in case something happens to my cargo?

You can send a complaint letter with complete documents such as the original copy of the bill of lading, delivery receipts and all-important information to validate your claim.

The documents should be submitted to the port of origin or destination office for validation and processing.

2. What if my cargo gets damaged / missing?

You can file a claim with our Customer Care department should your cargo unfortunately get damaged / missing.

3. Can I leave cargo behind if it’s extremely damaged?

Yes, you can leave the cargo behind if it is extremely damaged. You should immediately contact our Customer service staff for claims validation and processing.
