By: Timoty James Paulin – Quality, Health, Safety & Environment | December. 7, 2021[br_tc]On November 22 and 25, 2021, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Cagayan de Oro held an Emergency Readiness Evaluation on TASLI vessels, TA19 and TA21, respectively, to determine compliance with safety standards as well as the emergency preparedness of sea-based personnel in responding to emergencies whilst the vessel is at port or at sea. Our crew’s dedication, motivation and reliability enabled them to perform a successful exercise that tested their ability to respond to any type of shipboard emergency.
Many response elements were evaluated that day, including command structure, swift coordination between ship-to-shore communication, rapid mobilization of crew, the use of the ship’s electronic emergency communication system, and the implementation of emergency response procedures.
As a result, PCG commended the overall performance, but it was the sheer dedication, efficiency, and responsiveness of our crew that allowed them to undertake these types of exercises safely and successfully.
Kudos to TASLI team! Sa Trans-Asia Siguradong At Home and Safe Ka sa Byahe!
