Be an informed traveler. Read Trans-Asia’s Passenger Guidelines before booking your trip. For a smooth booking and travel experience, we have published our policies regarding tickets, e-tickets, boarding, check-in, refund, rebooking, and rescheduling.
ACTUAL TICKET
HOW TO GET TICKETS
You can book thorough visiting our Ticketing outlets or at any Trans-Asia Main offices near you.
TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Ticket is non-transferable and shall be used solely by Passenger named herein. Passenger is required to present a valid ID upon check-in or may be refused boarding if can not present.
- Ticket is valid only for the voyage indicated herein and shall be deemed automatically canceled if not used. In cases wherein the Passenger was unable to use the ticket, the ticket may still be refunded or rescheduled within sixty (60) days from date of departure, subject to surcharge.
- Passenger must be at the Passenger Terminal for check-in at least two (2) hours before departure time. Carrier reserves the right to cancel the ticket of any Passenger who fails to check-in thirty (30) minutes before scheduled departure and may issue the same accommodation to another person.
- Passenger undertakes to faithfully comply with the rules and regulations of the Carrier involving the maintenance of peace and order, safety, and sanitation on board the vessel.
- Passenger voluntarily agrees that Carrier shall not be liable for death, injury, or delay to the Passenger and/or loss, damage, or delay to any baggage due to any fortuitous event, war, rebellion, strike, acts of terrorism, navigational requirements, government intervention, and other causes beyond the control of the Carrier. It is agreed that the term “baggage” shall mean only such thing that is necessary for the personal use of the Passenger during the voyage, excluding all money, jewelry, merchandise, securities, and other articles of similar nature, for which the Carrier shall not be liable for unless transported under a Bill of Lading. The liability of the Carrier in case of loss, damage, or delay to the Passenger’s baggage shall be limited to Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) for First Class passengers and a reduced proportion thereof in the case of all other passengers. Carrier shall have no liability whatsoever in connection with this voyage unless a written notice of claim is presented to the Carrier within fifteen (15) days or unless a suit is instituted within thirty (30) days from the day the Passenger disembarks or from the day the vessel arrives at the Passenger’s port of destination, whichever is earlier.
- Passengers can bring two (2) 0.05 cubic meter in size or 100 kilos of baggage on board, on 2nd class and tourist accommodations. Private room and cabin passengers have double allowance in terms of quantity but not in size. Minor’s allowance is half in size that of an adult. Baggage in excess of allowance will be deemed as cargo and will be treated as such and charged accordingly.
- Carrier reserves the right to refuse boarding to Passenger/s who pose a threat to the security, order, comfort, safety & health of other passengers and the vessel and Passenger/s whose payment is made through fradulent means.
- Sick Passengers must present a medical certificate dated five (5) days within departure date, attesting to their fitness to undertake sea travel. Non-ambulatory cases, especially those with life support, should be accompanied by a licensed nurse/doctor companion with enough supply of medication for the duration of the trip. Carrier reserved the right to deny boarding of a sick passenger.
- Pregnant Passengers within 1 to 6 months (up to 28 weeks) are required to present a medical certificate issued at least the day prior the departure date attesting to their fitness to travel by boat indicated with the specific date of departure. 7 months and beyond (29 weeks and beyond) are no longer accepted for sea travel.
- Passengers below three (3) years old are considered infants. Passengers who are between three (3) to eleven (11) years of age but below one meter in height are considered minors.
- Carrier is not responsible to replace lost Passage Official Receipt. Passage Official Receipt mutilated beyond recognition shall not be accepted for check-in. Passenger will have to purchase a new ticket.
- Ticket may be rescheduled or refunded subject to applicable surcharge at the issuing ticket outlet or at Trans-Asia Cebu-Main offices, provided that the Passenger named therein presents his complete set of ticket and a photocopy of valid ID (with picture) as proof of identity, and that the ticket has not yet expired or lapsed sixty (60) days from departure date. Ticket rescheduling can only be done once and is subject to fare rates prevailing at the time of rescheduling.
- In case the vessel cannot continue or complete the voyage for any cause whatsoever, Carrier reserves the right to cancel the trip and refund the Passenger the unused cost of said ticket or reschedule for another date/destination.
- Sailing schedule of the vessel is not guaranteed and may change between the date of purchase and the date of travel. Carrier will exert reasonable efforts to notify affected Passengers of any change of the sailing schedule, but will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage that may be incurred as a result of such change.
- Carrier may cancel, terminate, or delay any departing vessel or suspend the operation at any time after a reservation has been made.
- Carrier is not responsible for any connecting trip of the Passenger or for any misconnection arising from any delay or cancellation of the scheduled trip.
- Carrier reserves the right to deploy another vessel without prior notice. Affected accommodations will be automatically downgraded should there be no available accommodations, and the fare difference will be refunded to the Passenger. In the event all accommodations are fully booked, Passenger agrees to be refunded in full.
- Any unauthorized alteration of this ticket shall render the same null and void.
UNCOMPLETED VOYAGE
In the event the vessel cannot continue or complete the voyage for any cause whatsoever, Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the trip and refund the passenger the unused cost of his ticket, or to revalidate the ticket for another schedule or destination. Web fees and other web-related fees are not refundable.
Change of Schedule
Sailing schedule of the vessel is not guaranteed and may change between the date of purchase and the date of travel. Carrier will exert reasonable efforts to notify the affected passengers of any change or postponement of the sailing schedule, but the Carrier will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage that occurred or may occur, as a result of any such change or postponement.
Diversions
Carrier may divert any trip to any port other than the port of destination if it is unable to proceed for reasons beyond its control. The Carrier will endeavor to the extent possible and practicable to, but does not guarantee it will, arrange suitable alternative means of transportation to enable the affected passengers to reach the port of destination.
Cancellation and Delays
Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or delay any departing vessel or suspend the operation at any time after a reservation has been made.
Connecting Trips
Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. is not responsible for any connecting trips of the passenger or for any misconnection arising from any delay or cancellation of the scheduled trip.
CHANGE OF VESSEL
Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to deploy another vessel instead of that originally assigned without prior notice. Affected accommodations will be automatically downgraded should there be no available accommodations and the fare difference shall be refunded to the passenger. In the event that all accommodations are fully booked, passenger agrees to be refunded in full.
Change of Fare
Fare rates are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
Unauthorized Alterations
Any alteration on the ticket shall render it null and void.
Send-Off Visitors
A passenger’s send-off visitors are not allowed to board the vessel. Any passenger who violates this rule shall assume any liability that may arise from unauthorized boarding by his send-off visitors.
Modification of Terms and Conditions
Carrier reserves the right to change this agreement at any time by revising the terms and conditions herein. User is responsible for regularly reviewing these terms and conditions. Continued use of this website following any such changes shall constitute the User’s acceptance.
Government-Mandated Discounts
The following are government-mandated discounts:
a) Student discount – 20% off on the regular basic fare applicable to 2nd class non-aircon, 2nd class aircon, and Tourist class accommodations.
b) Senior citizen discount – 20% off on the regular basic fare, without VAT.
c) Persons with Disability – 20% off on the regular basic fare, with VAT.
Minor Passengers
Passengers who are between 3 to 11 years old are considered minors and are charged with a special rate.
Tickets should be purchased together with the tickets of their adult companion and both must be in the same accommodation.
Infant Passengers
Passengers who are below 3 years old and not beyond 1 meter in height are considered infants and are charged a flat rate regardless of accommodation type. Infant passengers who are beyond 1 meter in height and who do not have any document to prove that they are below 3 years old shall be charged a minor’s rate. Separate tickets are issued for infant passengers but they will share the cot of their adult companion.
An adult passenger is allowed a maximum of two (2) infants. Infant/s in excess of the maximum allowed per adult shall be charged a minor’s rate.
Tickets for infant passengers are only available at Cebu and Provincial Main Offices and at the Passenger Terminal Check-in Counter.
Venue of Action
Any court action arising from a transaction shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the proper courts in the City of Cebu to the exclusion of any other court. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. will accept formal and legal notices or documents only at its registered address in Cebu City, Philippines.

CHECK-IN PROCESS ON THE DAY OF TRAVEL
CEBU PORT
1. Present ticket to the guard at the main entrance door of Passenger Terminal Pier 3.
2. Submit baggage for scanning through the X-ray Machine.
3. Present ticket and valid ID for check-in at the TRANS-ASIA CHECK-IN COUNTER (inside the terminal).
4. Secure terminal fee (Present Ticket or Electronic Boarding Pass upon securing)
5. Present Checked-in Ticket/Electronic Boarding Pass and terminal fee to the guard assigned at the main entrance to the staging area.
6. Present Checked-in ticket to the personnel and guard assigned at Boarding Gate.
7. Bus ride going to vessel
8. Present ticket and ID at deck attendant assigned at the base of the gangplank.
9. Board the vessel.

CAGAYAN DE ORO PORT
1. Present ticket to the entrance guard of Amenity Building.
2. Submit baggage for scanning through the X-ray machine at Amenity Building.
3. Present Higala QR code to the guard at Amenity Building.
4. Present ticket to the guard assigned at the exit door of Amenity Building.
5. Present ticket to the guard at the entrance door of PTV Building.
6. Submit baggage for scanning through X-ray machine at PTV Building.
7. Secure terminal fee (present ticket upon securing)
8. Present ticket and ID at designated Trans-Asia check-in counter inside PTV Building.
9. Present ticket with terminal fee at Terminal Boarding gate (PTV Building).
10. Board the vessel.

TAGBILARAN PORT
1. Present ticket to the guard at the main gate of the passenger terminal.
2. Present ticket to the guard at the entrance door of the passenger terminal.
3. Secure terminal fee (present ticket upon securing)
4. Present ticket and terminal fee to the guard at the staging area inside the terminal.
5. Submit oneself for body frisking through manual and metal detector.
6. Submit baggage through a metal detector.
7. Proceed to the boarding gate.
8. Present ticket and ID to the deck attendant assigned at the base of the gangplank.
9. Check-in the ticket at the main entrance door of the vessel.
10. Board the vessel.

1. Present ticket to the guard at the main entrance of passenger terminal.
2. Secure terminal fee (present ticket upon securing).
3. Present ticket with terminal fee to the guard at the X-ray machine area.
4. Submit baggage for scanning through the X-ray machine.
5. Proceed to the vessel for boarding.
6. Present ticket and ID to deck attendant assigned at the base of the gangplank.
7. Check-in the ticket at the main entrance of the vessel DECK B AREA.
8. Board the vessel.

ILIGAN PORT
1. Present ticket to the guard at the main entrance of passenger terminal.
2. Submit baggage for scanning through the X-ray machine.
3. Secure terminal fee (present ticket upon securing).
4. Present ticket and terminal fee to the guard at the exit door/gate going to the vessel.
5. Present ticket and ID to the deck attendant assigned at the base of the gangplank.
6. Check-in the ticket at the main entrance of the vessel DECK B AREA.
7. Board the vessel.

OZAMIZ PORT
1. Present ticket to the guard at the main entrance of passenger terminal.
2. Secure terminal fee (present ticket upon securing).
3. Present ticket with terminal fee to the guard at the X-ray machine area.
4. Submit baggage for scanning through the X-ray machine.
5. Submit baggage for K9 inspection.
6. Proceed to the vessel for boarding.
7. Present ticket to the deck attendant assigned at the base of the gangplank.
8. Check-in the ticket.
9. Board the vessel at the main entrance of the vessel DECK B AREA.

BEFORE BOARDING
KNOW YOUR PERSONAL BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
2nd class non-aircon / aircon and Tourist passengers are allowed (2) 0.05 cubic meter or equivalent to 50 kilos of personal baggage.
Cabin and Private Room passengers are allowed 0.10 cubic meter or equivalent to 100 kilos of personal baggage.
Minor passengers are allowed personal baggage half that of an adult passenger.
Infant passengers have no baggage allowance
Baggage exceeding allowance and those classified under commercial goods shall be deemed as cargo and will be charged accordingly

PORTERAGE SERVICE
For baggage assistance, porters are available at agreed porterage fees between passenger and porter
PROHIBITED CARGOES ON BOARD
Items considered to be dangerous and detrimental to the safety of other passengers, crew and of the vessel are not allowed in passenger’s personal baggage. Examples of these dangerous items are listed below:
- compressed gases such as butane or LPG tanks
- corrosives
- explosives and timed devices
- flammable liquids and solids
- radioactive materials
- poisonous and infectious substances
- bladed weapons
- illegal drug substances
- E-bike
PREGNANT PASSENGERS
a) Must present a medical certificate attesting to the passenger’s fitness for sea travel and must sign a waiver upon check-in.
– Below 28 weeks : Medical Certificate should be issued at least one day prior the departure date and must clearly state the departure date.
– 29 weeks and beyond : shall not be accepted to travel.
b) The passenger confirms the authenticity of the medical certificate and the accuracy of its contents. Trans-Asia Shipping Lines,Inc. reserves the right to deny check-in and shall not be held liable for any issues arising from misrepresentation in the submission and/or contents of the medical certificate.
SICK PASSENGERS


NOTE:
1. The doctor or nurse must present his or her active or valid license issued by the Philippine Regulatory Commission.
2. The medical certificate must be issued 3 days from the date of departure, stating the words “Fit to travel by boat”.
3. Passengers with attachments such as oxygen, IV, and heparin IV locking devices, etc., must bring their necessary medical equipment and medical supplied, including medicines intended for 2 days.
4. Passengers who cannot comply with the list of requirements for sick passengers are not allowed to board the vessel.
5. The requirements must be presented during check-in at the terminal and when they board the vessel.
6. Passengers still need to pay for terminal fee at passenger check-in terminal. Amount of terminal fee may vary depending on port location.

PASSENGER CHECK-IN
- Passenger must be at the Passenger Terminal for check-in at least two (2) hours before departure time.
- Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the ticket of any passenger who fails to check-in thirty (30) minutes before scheduled departure and may issue the same accommodation to another person.
- Passenger must present valid identification at the check-in counter for verification.

Passengers with unauthorized discounted tickets may be denied boarding and held legally liable.
TRAVELING MINOR
12 YEARS OLD BELOW
1. Children who are 12 years old and below are not allowed to travel alone. Here are the documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:
a. Valid Ticket.
b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.
12 and13 YEARS OLD
1. Children who are 12 and 13 years old may travel alone subject to compliance of the following documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:
a. Valid Ticket.
b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.
c. Duly accomplished Parent/Guardian Consent Form for Unaccompanied Minor.
d. Copy of valid ID with signature of the minor’s parent and/or authorized guardian

14 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE
1. Children who are 14 years old and above are allowed to travel alone. Here are the documentary requirements which need to be shown upon check-in:
a. Valid Ticket.
b. Original valid ID or Birth Certificate of the child passenger.

RIGHT TO REFUSE BOARDING
MAY BE DENIED TO BOARD
Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. reserves the right to refuse boarding to a passenger and/or his baggage under the following conditions:
a) If the passenger and/or his cargo may pose a threat to the security, order, safety, health, or materially affect the comfort of other passengers and the vessel;
b) If the passenger has partially paid but refuses or fails to pay the fare balance, or payment is made through fraudulent means;
c) If the passenger cannot prove or sufficiently establish upon check-in to vessel personnel’s satisfaction that he is the person named in the itinerary receipt.
d) If the passenger’s mental or physical state, serious illness, pre-existing medical condition, attitude or demeanor, including his intoxication or impairment from alcohol and drugs poses a hazard to himself, to other passengers, to crew or to property;
e) If the passenger has committed misconduct at the departure terminal or onboard the vessel prior to departure, including physical and verbal abuse against vessel crew, company representatives or other passengers and the Carrier believes that the conduct may be repeated;
f) If the passenger refuses for any reason whatsoever to submit to a security check at the passenger terminal or at the vessel gang plank prior to boarding.
LOST TICKET AND MUTILATED TICKET BEYOND RECOGNITION
Carrier is not responsible to replace lost Passage Official Receipt. Likewise, Passage Official Receipt mutilated beyond recognition shall not be accepted for check-in. In both cases, the passenger needs to purchase another ticket. This condition does not apply to Online PDF Receipt.
REFUND, REBOOK AND RESCHEDULE
REFUND, REBOOK AND RESCHEDULE
Rebook (Reschedule)
1. For tickets purchased from Trans-Asia Main and / or Provincial Offices, tickets may be rebooked or rescheduled at any Trans-Asia main offices provided said tickets have not yet expired or lapsed 60 days from departure date.
2.Tickets purchased from ticketing outlets may be rebooked or rescheduled at the same outlet where they were originally bought or at any Main offices.
3. Passenger must present his/her complete sets of unused tickets and valid ID.
4. Ticket rebooking or reschedule can only be done once and subject to prevailing fare rates at the time of rebooking.
5. Ticket rebooking or reschedule is subject to applicable surcharge.
Refund
1. Tickets bought from ticketing outlets or Trans-Asia’s main and provincial offices may be refunded at the point of purchase or any Trans-Asia office, as long as they have not expired or are within 60 days from the scheduled departure.
2. For ticket purchased online via Chelsea Travel, you can refund your ticket by accessing the ‘Manage Booking’ option.
3. Ticket refund is subject to applicable surcharge.
4. Passenger must present his/her complete set of unused ticket and valid ID
Please note that web fees for online ticket purchases are non-refundable.
REFUND, REBOOK AND RESCHEDULE (Chelsea Travel)
1. Go to the Chelsea app or Trans-Asia Shipping Lines website.
2. Click on Manage Booking.
3. Input your booking reference number
(e.g., TASLI- 12345ABCDEFG).
4. Choose to use either your registered email address or phone number.
5. Select one of the following options:
– Reprint Ticket to view your e-ticket.
– Refund to request a refund for your e-ticket
– Rebook to reschedule your trip
6. Follow the steps to complete your request.
If you forgot your booking reference number:
1. Click “Can’t find my reference number”.
2. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and departure date.
3. Your reference number will be sent to your registered email.
